Angels made hard work of a seemingly straightforward cup tie on Sunday. They certainly were a little jaded from the Christmas break. Daryl Brown provided a strong link though, down the right flank, and Conner Ward displayed a quality performance throughout. But it was goalie James Banfield who made two magnificent flying saves to keep Tonbridge in the first half. Despite early chances falling for Luke French and Dan Blewitt, it was The Warren who managed a breakthrough goal for a lead into the break.

Although being one down, Angels gave a feisty second half preformance. Ten minutes in, a 25 yard strike from Hamid Jaffray thundered into the back of the net to level the game. Tonbridge were back in contention with a possible extra time looming. Then a Ben Browning free kick hit the back post and Ben Boodle's follow up gave the Angels a late victory.
