The Angels bowed out at the quarter final stage of the County Cup after a physical tussle in south-west London.

The visitors started slowly but did create some chances during the first half that saw Ben Watkins, Joe Hart and Bradley Austin all go close. However, Rocks Lane fortuitously grabbed the lead midway through the half when the Angels deflected a corner into their own net.

After the break, the Angels started brightly and Charlie Lewis was unlucky to see his shot scrape the bar. James Wharrier made some important stops but was finally beaten by another deflection to put the hosts in control. The Angels fought back in the dying minutes and were rewarded when Angus Fife rifled home from the edge of the box. A frantic finale ensued but the hosts held out to reach the semi-finals.
